Regional In-House Lawyer – Middle East

University degree in Law from well reputed universities in Lebanon or abroad. A Master’s degree in Law from a reputable university.

Having 7-10 years of professional substantial legal experience and training in either Private Practice or ideally in-house Corporate Environment, as Lawyer or Legal Advisor or In-House Counsel or Attorney or related.

Thorough knowledge and experience in financial services industry, or preferably with an insurance company is a major asset.

Thorough knowledge and experience of Lebanon laws and regulations.

Experience in dealing with regulators is a strong advantage.

Will support the MEA Regional General Counsel on all legal and regulatory matters.

Will provide direct advice and legal support to all regional executives on regional initiatives on behalf of MEA Regional General Counsel.

Will support country lawyers on legal matters requiring regional, EMEA or Head Office coordination or input.

Will provide direct in-house legal support to the business partners in Lebanon and Levant on a part time basis and coordinate with outside counsel directly as applicable.

Will draft and review contracts of regional footprint.

Will support the operation in Saudi on legal and regulatory needs.

Will identify potential new business opportunities coming out of new laws and regulations across the region.

Will maintain a good relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

Mature, patient and hard working individual. Team player. Focused with can-do attitude; problem solver. Innovative and creative. Able to take his assignments personally and with ownership. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills. Bilingual with an excellent command of English and Arabic (for all drafting, communicating and negotiating purposes).  Computer literate.
